God Watches Over You 24/7

During my reflection time with God, a comforting thought came to mind. The thought that He never slumbers or sleeps because He is watching over my life 24/7 (King James Bible, 1769/2017). God covers you in all things and stands guard over you. Since He doesn’t sleep or slumber, He watches your back 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It elated me to know that I am not the only person responsible for keeping guard over my life. I have an advocate who is greater and stronger than I who keeps guard and watches over all my comings and goings. This took a load off my mind especially in terms of thinking that it was my sole responsibility to be on constant guard against evil and trying to preserve my life. I do have responsibilities to act according to His Word but the complete responsibility for guarding my life and ensuring I am safe belongs to Him. All glory be to God alone.

In the King James Bible (1769/2017), Psalm 121 says “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. (Psalm 121:1-8).

Meditate on Psalm 121 and take comfort knowing that God watches over you 24/7.
